MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD

Posting a new picture today!

Hello Readers, just wanted to let you know even though I have the opportunity of having a large garden doesn't mean it's gonna work.  Use that "small" opportunity if you have it.  You don't need large spaces to produce a "large effect".

In this small space I've got pole beans, tomatoes, and various peppers!

Have a good one - AND - use your space, whatever it is.

16 DAYS OF RAIN

Did I mention I live in Ohio?  And that we've had 16 straight days of rain?!  My garden has taken a beating because of this and the plants that couldn't drain are not doing too well.  However, anything that was planted in a hill: potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, they're all doing just fine.  The lettuce is still under water and the corn is turning light green to yellow - I don't think it will make it.

Also wanted to let my readers know my "Three Sisters" approach - companion planting - is doing well.  I have corn, beans, and squash coming up together.

Check back next week for an update and have a great rest of the week!

LIFE WITH MORINGA!

My husband and I have been using Moringa for less than a month now for different reasons; I was having sleep issues and my husband had a lack of energy.  I can't explain how significantly Moringa has been a benefit to our lives.  Below is the latest article I came across explaining possible other benefits.  To read more PLEASE visit my website - click here: Moringa Life.

Moringa For Curinga Fibromyalgia

The Holy Grail for health, Moringa oleifera has been proven to be curing numerous problems. The list of its effective cure processes can just go on.

For people suffering from fibromyalgia, a common syndrome to suffer from long-term, body-wide pain and tenderness in the joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues also have found this unique plant to be the life savior. There was no out and out perfect medicine for remedy to this disease except for few trial and error methods of tentative solutions. The repercussion of this disease has ruined many lives and consumption of Moringa has improved their lives.

Moringa has the capacity to attend the numerous nutrition deficiency issues that a victim suffers from. Moringa leaves are full of high levels of protein, vitamins, calcium. Potentially it has the capability to improve the nutrition diet of the people, lead to an increase in the amount of food produce in the area by healthier livestock, ameliorate rural development and look towards serious nourishment of the land. Fibromyalgia, also known as the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is more common among women and the most common symptom is suffering from diffused muscles and tendon shortening. As a result, it causes multiple nerve compressions throughout the spine and limbs. Spinal origins from the neck, mid back and low back are the major vulnerable areas to suffer in this

The spinal muscles create nerve compression and traction. This pressure causes muscle pains in the head, spine and limbs. It can cause pain directly in the muscles cracking a joint. It can also cause pain due to pressure in the joint from the spine. Headaches can persist from such pains in the neck. This can result in serious local muscle problems around the head. For avoiding fibromyalgia one must follow a healthy diet, avoid fried foods and frequent sweets, incorporate an active lifestyle, follow a strict schedule with consistent bed and waking times, stay well hydrated, avoid stress and consume Moringa.

The disease also causes depression or anxiety, migraine or tension headaches, digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome (commonly called IBS) or gastroesophageal reflux disease ( also called GERD, irritable or overactive bladder. Other symptoms are pelvic pain, temporomandibular disorder or TMJ (a set of symptoms including face or jaw pain, jaw clicking and ringing in the ears). The main reason for this painful disease is not definite. It can be genetic and run down families. Although, a more common disease among women it can also occur in men. The most vulnerable age group is above 30 till

However, with recent lifestyle issues this problem has risen among teens and children as well. Excess work load or academic pressure and improper food habits are the main causes. Apart from arthritis, spinal pain or neck pains this disease can also occur due to emotional outbursts as well. Excessive mental stress can lead to illness and fatigue of this sort.

Often this disease is confused with rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. However, with physical findings and blood tests differences can be diagnosed and medicated. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition, meaning it lasts a long time almost for life. However, the comforting part is to know that fibromyalgia is not a progressive disease. It is not fatal and there are chances of improvement in condition over time. Avoid alcohol and caffeine to prevent sleep depriving conditions. Even chocolate and few soft drinks can cause sleep deprivation. Powdered moringa leaves are inexpensive, organic and powerhouse of nutrients for fibromyalgia.

Ancient Indian Ayurveda also supports Moringa’s nutritional benefits. One gram of Moringa contains 7 times more Vitamin C than orange, 4 times more vitamin A than carrot, 4 times more vitamin B than pork, 4 times more vitamin E than black sesame, 4 times more calcium than milk, 2 times the protein of yoghurt, 3 times more potassium than bananas and 2 times more zinc than oysters.

The sad part about the awareness on the use of this product is that, most international pharmacy companies would not have high rise profits from promoting this miraculous product hence not every individual is aware of this product. However, moringa’s benefits cannot be unknown for long and gradually this life savior is becoming a popular product in many countries.

THE THREE SISTERS

The corn is coming up and soon it will be time for step two.....

This year is my first time implementing what is called "The Three Sisters"; an American Indian custom which incorporates corn, a climbing bean, and squash which in turn provides a healthy diet and long term soil fertility.

FINDING YOUR RIGHT FIT

Remember those golf clubs?  Just because it works for me doesn't mean it works for others.  Here's my point - those clubs that worked great as gardening tools for me, taking away the stress of traditional tools, did not work for my husband!  I'm 5'1 and he is 6'.  We had only gotten started and from across the garden I heard him say "my back is hurting, this club is too short!!"  Oh well.  On to better things.

Coffee grounds anyone?  This weekend will be my first application of coffee grounds on my pepper and tomato plants.  Let's get them energized!

PUTTING IT TO GOOD USE

Forever ago, when I was a college student, I took a credited course in golf.  I bought my clubs but after the course was complete they were rarely used for their intended purpose.

Last year I came across my old clubs and had an idea for re-purposing them.  It was gardening time and my putter was perfect for preparing a hole for seeds, the iron did a superb job of bringing across soil to cover the newly planted seed.  Verses the traditional implements, using the clubs for seed planting came much easier this way - less stress on the back and the rubber handles take the wear and tear off your hands.
